About

The Bridgend Driving Instructors' Association was established in 1990 by local driving instructors who by association desired to raise the profile of the profession locally and who wished to deliver the highest possible standards of tuition, driver education and service possible.

This still remains the core mission of the Association in 2011.

Members participate in and organise CPD training events for driving instructors on a regular basis to ensure that all members have the opportunity to continually develop their skills and knowledge in a demanding profession. The Bridgend Driving Instructors'  Association has forged links with other local Associations throughout Wales and with national Associations as well as local advanced driving groups.

Association members work in all areas of driver training and education in addition to the core business of teaching learner drivers safe driving for life. Our members include specialist motor cycle trainers, ADi trainers and fleet driver trainers some of whom deliver the National Driver Awareness Course. Many members also deliver Pass Plus and Pass Plus Cymru.

New members are always welcome. Regular monthly meetings take place on the last Wednesday of each month (excepting December)  at Pencoed RFC starting at 8:30PM.
